MusicGear has been on Akadimias since 2014, and on the Athens music map since 2009. Stelios and Iliana Vrettos started the shop because the chains stopped listening — to musicians, to genres outside the chart, to the difference between a player who needs a Strat and a player who needs a Tele. Fifteen years later the shop is still a basement-up family operation. The instruments change. The principle doesn't.
